Part 3 of our Formula Drift coverage wraps up the amazing event with the Offset Kings car show. As diverse as South Florida, the car show lined up the hottest and lowest rides. From JDM time attack themed S2000’s to Stanced M3’s some of the coolest cars were pitted in the actual track facility garages making for a very cool venue. With so many cars arriving early for entry the show spilled out into the Midway where there were a few choice sponsors and their Demo Cars. Part 2 of our Formula Drift : Miami Heat story recaps the exciting Inaugural Pro2 Final (Friday) as well as the Top 32 Open Practice from Saturdays Main Event. With a noise ordinance in effect the usual friday night spectacle that is the Top 32 Open Practice was early Saturday with a non stop barrage of sideways battles. The smoke was hardly cleared on track before another pair blazed the entry. Send it! The Pro2 Final was Friday evening and Stoneback who saw action in the Pro group would win in his S14. This years Formula Drift event melts the rubber in the Miami heat at the beautiful Homestead Speedway. This Round 3 stop saw Gittin take his 2nd victory in a row as he muscled his Mustang through the swamp. Forsberg finished 2nd and is still leading the Championship with Gittin close behind. Moen placed third and is now 3rd in the points chase. However with 4 more events to go anyone can take the title. This 2 Day event also had a new Pro2 group battle and the awesome Top 32 Open Practice. There were many surprises as crowd favorites did not advance to the Final Top 16 and a few close calls saw some cars getting air born!
