The 2015 Detroit Auto Show – Amazing cars of a new era!!! Carbon V6 Twin Turbo Dual Clutch #Keywords
This 2015 edition of the renowned Detroit Auto Show is one of the best in quite some time as the world is the stage for the reveal of the new awesome production version Acura NSX and a surprise headliner, the Ford GT! V6’s with twin turbo and 3 electric motors ensure the NSX will perform well at low and high speeds. The GT is more conventional with a V6 with twin turbo alone! Both have dual clutch automated transmissions. The NSX debuts with a new design and significant design enhancements for production – it looks amazing! Ford brought extra production version goodies to the mix with the Shelby GT350R running a 500hp flat plane crank V8 and significant aero upgrades. The new Raptor also showed its new twin turbo V6!!!!!

For the first time since its beginnings in 2009, the Wekfest tour makes a stop in Miami gathering the baddest and most creatively tuned vehicles from South Florida. Pronounced “weak” fest for all of you noobs, this event brings the focus and quality of car show typically only seen in California. Local favorites as well as fresh builds were on display showcasing the talent and individuality found here in the So Fla car scene. From air ride, to static/slammed as well as track focused performance, there was something for everyone. The Wekfest crew put on a great event with good vibes flowing all day. Big Shout out to our friends at Slammered Inc taking home multiple trophies for their bad ass golden S2000 and signal green G35. ORANGE PEEL : GRS Motorsports 1st Annual Street Import Shootout!
The 1st Annual Street Import Shootout presented by GRS-Motorsports.com and hosted by Orlando Speed World was awesome!!! A new World Record was had by Team New Generation’s “Major League” RX8 blasting the 1/4 in 6.190 @ 224.77 mph taking back the 20B Rotary title! Top Honors and $10k went to Damon Chin in his spectacular 2JZ powered Celica. Repping Rosado Racing his consistency and back to back personal best times saw him knock out El Jerry in the Final!!! At 6.24 @ 226 mph Damon is piloting his monster like no other. The All Motor and Honda Classes also had tight racing all day with some of the fastest K and B series powered machines tearing it up. In addition to the incredible racing, Day 3 of the Haltech World Cup Finals pleased the fans with a very nice car show keeping true to the Import vs Domestic battle. Classic muscle went up against JDM technology and there were many beautiful vehicles on display! There was also a Bikini Contest hosted by the lovely Jessica Barton however we only captured a few images as we were focused on the races. Day 2 of the Haltech World Cup Finals was non stop racing as hundreds of racers fought to stay in their classes during this all day qualifying session. A few highlights were of course the specatular MIR crew that kept the track clean and safe, record breaking E/T’s from the Outlaw Vs Extreme class, a slew of crazy fast Volkswagens , and Jessica Barton along with her WCF Girls to hype the crowd. The Hondas were out in full force proving to be some of the tightest and most consistent racing all day. Be sure to check our Day 1 coverage which was posted yesterday. Honda has an updated version 2 prototype 4 door variant of the 2015 Civic Type R circling the autoshow circuit and they have released some details describing the most extreme and capable R version yet! It will be so extreme that it will not come to the USA! Extreeeeeeeeeeme! Your better off going on a mission with harold and kumar to get some some burgers than trying to pick up one of these fire hot hatches. For the rest of the world, the production version of this sports machine with 276 turbocharged hp will soon be available. ORANGE PEEL : 1st Annual International Curry Cook Off & Car Show – DRAGint Rollin’ Deep
The 1st Annual International Curry Cook Off was a blast! The rain could not stop the party, the food and music kept it pumpin’. The food vendors served up the tastiest food of the West Indies. Our good friend DJ Chris of Bacchanal Radio put on the car show and we helped out with 11 entries! We took home 6 prizes including Best of Show with our race car S15 RB26.
